I agree with the author that stainless steel is great for jewelry, unfortunately I don't think my girlfriend would agree. The draw to stainless steel is its pragmatism, and not its beauty.
Sterling silver is a lot better for spoons and forks. Stainless steel is more useful with knives. I tend to favor stainless steel more though.
