Fantasy Weddings: Creativity Is The Key
69
Fantasy weddings are becoming more and more common among younger couples these days. These weddings either create an atmosphere that is truly loved by everyone or seem to fall flat. To make your fantasy wedding fantastic, creativity is the key. Fantasy weddings are all about seeing that all the small details work together to create the type of wedding you would like. From your choice of location, to food, to your choice of centerpieces and wedding table decorations right down to the wedding favours everything has to enhance the fantasy you are creating. Here are a couple of fantasy wedding ideas that the bride and groom really pulled off.
A Day At The Bull Fights
The theme of this wedding was a little off putting at first, but, the bride and groom created a wonderful atmosphere for fun and adventure right in the church and the reception hall. The first surprise was the bride and bridesmaids dresses. The bride and bridesmaids were dressed in beautiful Spanish gowns and the groom and groomsmen were of course dressed as matadors complete with swords and red capes.
Having gotten everyone into the mood with the wedding, everyone was excited to see what the reception would bring, they were not disappointed. The wedding table decorations were in keeping with the theme. Not only, did the bride and groom manage to find fierce looking bulls that they used for centerpieces on all the wedding tables, but, the salt and pepper shakers were colorful maracas And for wedding favours, there was a red rose on each plate. Mexican food including a Mexican wedding cake and a Mariachi band pulled the whole thing together and everyone had a great time and really felt that they were in good old Mexico!
A Fairy Wedding
Another couple manage to pull off a beautiful fairy wedding. The bride had a beautiful shimmering gown in a color that can only be described as woodland moss and both the bride and bridesmaids wore chains of daisies in their hair. The flower girl and ring bearer looked like miniature fairies and their outfits even had wings! The reception hall was spectacular with huge screens lining the walls that turned the entire hall into a wooded glen and a lot of little fairy lights strung around.
The wedding table decorations were big pots of ferns with fairies peeking out from unexpected places as centerpieces. Each individual setting had a ring of daisies as plate chargers. There was a champagne fountain and a lot of colorful food. Most surprising of all were the wedding favours. Each guest received a cute little box with a fairy on the top, filled with fairy dust! In keeping with the theme a flutist played both at the wedding and during dinner and afterward a D.J. took over.
A Destination Wedding Without The Destination
One couple wanted to get married in Hawaii but, lacked the money to do so, so they created their own Hawaiian Wedding right at home. They were married on the beach and the reception was held in a friend's garden that overlooked the beach. Wedding table decorations really created the mood with pineapple trees and edible fruit gardens. The wedding favours became part of the wedding table decorations as they were glasses designed to look like coconut shells. After a Hawaiian dinner
everyone went back down to beach where there was a bonfire, Hawaiian music and Hula dancers.
As you can see in each of three fantasy weddings, the themes worked because it was carried through from start to finish the key to a great fantasy wedding is using your creativity to create a world of your own for you and your guests to enjoy.
